The Bantam AA Whitecap Resources Wings back into the win column after a big win on home ice Tuesday night. They topped the visiting Swift Current Broncos 6-2 at Crescent Point Place.

Weyburn opened the scoring 3:54 into the first period when Quinn Mantei found the back of the net. The power play goal was assisted by Daxin Peterson and Dallen Oxelgren.

The Broncos proceeded to tie the game up late in the period, with a goal from Jace Bymoen with 2:13 on the clock. Weyburn would head to the locker room with the lead, though. Just 19 seconds were left in the opening frame when Oxelgren scored a goal of his own, assisted by Ty Boren and Ryker Watt.

Swift Current knotted the game up 2-2 in the second period, when Mckale Paul scored a power-play goal for the Broncos at the 7:48 mark. It would end up being all the offence the Broncos could muster in the game, as the Wings took over.

Ty Mason made it 3-2 with 2:31 left in the second period. Van Eger and Noel Englot had the assists on the goal.

In the third period, Watt had a goal of his own with 13:13 left on the clock. Wyatt Godlonton had the assist on the goal. Peterson then scored a goal 64 seconds later, with Watt getting credited with the assist.

Cooper Walbaum rounded out the scoring in the game with an unassisted, shorthanded tally with 1:28 remaining in regulation.

In goal, Dylan Ernst made 30 saves to pick up the victory.

The Wings, who are now 10-7-1-1 on the season, will be playing the Broncos again on Saturday. This time, the game will be in Swift Current.
