The Warriors opened the scoring in the first period, when Atley Calvert got the puck past Matthew Dutchak with 6:05 left on the board. The Wings would respond before the end of the period, though, as Rylan Erb scored on the power play, with Owen Neubeker picking up the assist.

The Warriors would reply early in the second, as Calvert scored his second of the game just over five minutes into the second period. Moose Jaw would make a two goal lead when Ethan Bachiu scored six minutes later.

Moose Jaw would get a three goal margin in the third period, when Chase Lacombe scored at the 7:04 mark. The Wings pressured, but were only able to get one more past starting goalie Jaxson Taupert. Morgan Anderson scored with 1:01 left on the clock, with Riley Skarbon getting the assist.

The Wings outshot the Warriors 33-22 in the game, and will look to keep the momentum up in game two of the series. The two teams will meet again Saturday afternoon at Crescent Point Place. The puck will drop at 2:00 p.m.
