The Bantam AA Whitecap Resources Wings open the playoffs tonight, as they travel to Swift Current to take on the Bantam Broncos.

The Wings are coming into the best-of-three series with the momentum of a 6-2 win over the Saskatoon Outlaws Saturday.

Weyburn was led offensively by Cooper Walbaum this season, who put up 47 points in 29 games, including 25 goals. Right behind him was Ryker Watt with 44 points in 31 games on the year.

The Bantam AA Wings have also been strong on the power play this year. They have 33 goals with the man advantage, with Van Eger responsible for nine of them. Quinn Mantei has also bee integral to the performance of the power play, as he has 13 assists when the opposition is short-handed.

In net, Dylan Ernst has handled the majority of work this season. He finished the regular season with a record of 10-11 while posting a save percentage of .918, and a GAA of 2.99

In two games against the Broncos, the Wings have scored eight goals, while allowing eight goals. The two teams split the season series as well, with a win each.

The first meeting between the two teams was on January 8th at Crescent Point Place. The Wings skated to a 6-2 victory in the game. The return game was in Swift Current four days later, where the Broncos took the 6-2 win.

The puck drops on game one in the series at 5:30 p.m. Game two will be in Weyburn Saturday at 2:15 p.m., and game three, if necessary, will be played Sunday in Swift Current.
