The Bantam AA Whitecap Resource Wings played at home Sunday afternoon, entertaining the Regina Pat Blues. Regina jumped out to an early lead and held on to pick up a 3-2 victory.

The Pat Blues opened the scoring in the first period when Andy Stewart got the puck past Ryan Hicks seven minutes into the game. Then, Parker Dunn made it a 2-0 game when he scored with 7:26 to play.

In the second period, Regina extended the lead to 3-0, as Cohen Boehm scored just 3:11 into the frame.

Weyburn responded in the second half of the period.

It started with a goal from Brock Stewart with 8:12 to play in the second. Andon Hoff and Tyson Haslund assisted on the goal. Then, Carter Skarbon pulled Weyburn within a goal with 2:51 remaining. He was assisted by Noel Englot and Blaze Gutzke.

The Wings would then pour the pressure on in the third period, but were unable to get the equalizer into the back of the Regina net, resulting in the 3-2 final score.

Weyburn is now 12-11-1-1 on the season, and are currently sixth in the South Division of the SAAHL. The next game for the Bantam AA Wings will be on Saturday, as the Martensville Marauders come to Weyburn.
