The Bantam AA Whitecap Resource Wings had everything going their way Tuesday night. They trounced the visiting Notre Dame Hounds 14-1 at Crescent Point Place in SAAHL action. The win improves the Bantam AA Wings to 11-8-1-1 in the South Division of the SAAHL, putting them in a three-way tie for third place with Prairie Storm and the Estevan Bantam Bruins.

The Wings started their flurry of offence at the 6:26 mark of the first period, when Cooper Walbaum scored, assisted by Karter Haupstein. The goal was followed up with a tally from Van Eger with 7:01 left on the clock in the opening period. The first of six goals for Eger was assisted by Quinn Mantei.

The Wings didn’t waste time resuming the scoring when the second period started. Daxin Peterson found the back of the net just 43 seconds into the period, making it a 3-0 game for Weyburn. Ryker Watt and Dallen Oxelgren assisted on the goal.

Samuel Borschowa then scored on the power play 3:14 into the period, with Watt and Peterson assisting.

Eger scored his second of the game just over four minutes later with an unassisted tally, then Watt would get in on the action with six minutes left. The goal from Watt was assisted by Ty Boren and Borschowa.

Before the second period was over, Walbaum added his second of the night with 57 seconds on the clock, with Haupstein drawing the assist.

After scoring five goals in the second period, the Wings erupted for seven more in the third.

Noel Englot opened the frame up at the 2:04 mark with an unassisted goal. Peterson then scored his second of the night two minutes later. Watt and Mantei assisted on the goal.

Eger then completed the hat trick with a power-play goal with 8:01 left in the period. Walbaum and Mantei assisted the goal which made it 10-0 Weyburn.

It would only take 33 seconds for Eger to score his fourth of the night, with Mason and Mantei assisting.

With 6:04 left in regulation, Wyatt Godlonton scored, with Wyatt LaCoste picking up the assist.

Van Eger made it five goals in the game with 2:47 remaining. Walbaum and Mason assisted on the goal. Then, just 25 seconds later, Walbaum helped set up Eger's sixth goal of the night. Englot picked up an assist on the goal as well.

The shutout bid of Ryan Hicks would be ruined with just eight seconds left in the game. Michael MacLean scored for the Hounds, making it a 14-1 final.

A number of Wings ended the night with multiple point nights. Eger had the six goals, while Walbaum finished with two goals and three assists. Ryker Watt had a goal and three assists, while Mantei finished off the night with four assists. Peterson had two goals and an assist, Englot and Borschowa each had a goal and an assist, while Mason and Haupstein had two assists each.

The next game for the Bantam AA Wings will be on Sunday. They head up to Saskatoon to take on the Generals.
