The defending Big Six champions have the early advantage in the 2017 final and can take a stranglehold on the series in Game 3.

The Wawota Flyers lead the Best-of-7 final (2-0) over the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings after back-to-back one goal victories.

Wawota used home ice to their advantage in Game 1, bouncing back after an early deficit to score five straight goals to win 5-4.

In Game 2, the Flyers would shock a jubilant crowd in the Yellow Grass Wheatland Communiplex with the hottest start of the year in the Big Six.

Highlights

Wawota scored just six seconds into the game for the early lead and ended up chasing Wheat Kings' goaltender Tanner Erickson after scoring four goals in the first nine minutes of Game 2.

Wawota would lead 5-1 after the first period and 6-2 halfway through the game. Despite a strong push from Yellow Grass down the stretch, including two goals in the final minute of play, the Flyers would hold on for the 6-5 win.
