After a number of delays in recent weeks, the Oxbow Huskies and Redvers Rockets were finally able to get onto the ice Tuesday night. While the Huskies took the early lead, six unanswered goals from the visitors would be the difference, as Redvers recorded a 6-3 victory.

Oxbow got the offence started in the first period when Mike Dalton scored just 1:16 into the game. The goal was assisted by Steven Henderson. Just five minutes later, the lead expanded to 2-0 as Levi Barnstable would find the mack of the net behind Redvers goaltenders Thomas Bauche. Barnstable's goal was assisted by Derek Cooney.

In the second period, the Huskies expanded the lead as Cooney scored a goal of his own Taysen Holt assisted on the marker with 16:17 left on the clock. The tally would be the last offence Oxbow would muster in the game, as the Rockets took things over from there.

With just 9:00 left on the clock in the middle frame, Kevin Mann scored for the Rockets, with Jordon Miller and Brady Gaudet picking up the assists. The Rockets continued to push to close the gap, and they would get closer with 2:27 left in the period when Kenton Miller scored an unassisted goal.

Before the second period was over, Redvers finished off the rally to tie the game. With just 24 seconds left in the period, Dakota Rose would get the puck past Ethan Veroba to make it a 3-3 game. The game-tying goal was assisted by Remie Lamotte.

The Rockets continued to come at the Huskies in the third. It started with a goal from Gaudet at the 4:14 mark of the period with Kenton Miller getting the assist. Just three minutes later, Lamotte scored a goal of his own, assisted by Gaudet and John Potapinski to extend the lead to 5-3.

The two teams will meet again Friday night, this time in Redvers. The Rockets currently sit tied for third in the Big Six standings with a record of 4-1, while Oxbow is 2-5 on the season.
