Classes resumed this past week for students at Weyburn Comprehensive School, and now, the athletic schedule is back into full gear as well. It will be a busy weekend for the Eagles, with a number of teams travelling for a number of different sports.

The freshmen girls’ basketball team is in Moose Jaw this weekend, where they will be playing in a tournament.

The junior boys’ basketball team is in Regina for a tournament, which began Thursday. The junior girls’ team hosts their home tournament at WCS.

The senior girls’ basketball team will be heading up to Prince Albert for a tournament which begins today. The senior boys’ team won’t have as far to travel. They are in Estevan for a tournament.

The wrestling team from WCS will be looking to continue their strong performances on the year. They are at a meet in Regina.

Meanwhile, the cheerleading team from the Weyburn Comp is heading to Medicine Hat for a competition.
