The Bantam AA Crescent Point Wings hit the road Saturday, as they traveled to Swift Current to take on the Bantam Broncos. It was a close game, with Weyburn finding success on the power play, but the Broncos came away with the 3-2 win.

Swift Current took the lead before the halfway mark of the first period when Kalen Lind scored. It was followed up with a marker by Jaydon Jessiman just six minutes later. In the second period, the Broncos added to the lead just 47 seconds in, with a goal from Hayden Wilm.

The Wings rallied back in the third, taking advantage of the power play. It started when Walker Watson was set up by Dallen Oxelgren with 8:10 remaining, getting Weyburn on the board. Less than two minutes later Parker Douglas scored, assisted by Cooper Chisholm.

Despite the pressure from the Wings, though, they were unable to rally back and fell by the 3-2 final.

The Wings now prepare for the Graham Tuer Bantam Challenge. The puck drops on the tournament Thursday morning in Regina.
