The U18 Mixed Doubles Provincials were held on the weekend in Estevan, and Weyburn was well represented with three teams from the city competing in the event. All three would finish strong, with one of them taking home the prize at the end of it.

Abbey Johnson and Braden Fleischhacker were perfect through the round robin and the playoffs to capture the title. The duo opened the weekend with a 7-4 win over Ackerman/Tessier, then followed it up with a 13-5 win over Thies/Bryden. In the fourth draw of the weekend, they met up with R.Kish.Sutherland, and took the match-up 9-3. In the seventh draw, they beat Shayla Moore and Brayden Grindheim from Weyburn 8-4.

This put the team into the playdowns, where they started out against Kennedy/Kinaschuk, who they easily topped 8-1. In the semi-finals, Johnson and Fleischhacker again took on Moore and Grindheim. Again, it would be Johnson and Fleischacker coming out on top, this time by e a final of 10-4. In the finals, Johnson and Fleischhacker took on Kish and Sutherland for the second time on the weekend. The results were the same as from the round robin, with the Weyburn rink winning 7-3.

For Moore and Grindheim, their road to the semi-finals saw them start off with a 9-6 loss to Kish/Sutherland in their first draw, which they followed up with a 7-5 win over Ackerman/Tessier later the same day. The team from Weyburn improved to 2-1 at the tournament by the end of the day with an 8-3 win over Thies/Bryden. In the final matchup of the round robin, they fell to Johnson and Fleischhacker.

In the playoffs, Moore and Grindheim started off with a 9-5 win over Armstrong/Baum, and followed it up with a 5-2 win over Kennedy/Hom, setting up the rematch with Johnson and Fleischhacker.

The third team from Weyburn comprised of Landon Field and Emily Haupstein. In a separate pool from the other two Weyburn teams, they started out with a 14-3 win over the King/Fichter rink in the first draw of the weekend. It was followed up with a 9-6 loss to Kennedy/Hom. The pair bounced back with an 11-8 win over Cornea/Thompson and then closed out the round robin with an 11-3 win over Huntington/Snow.

In the playoffs, Haupstein and Field bear Armstrong/Duczek 8-5. With the win, they advanced to the quarterfinals where they ran into tough competition from the Wiens/Pomedli rink, who won 5-4.

The Wiens/Pomedli rink, curling out of Wadena, was comprised of Weyburn's Emma Wiens and Wadena's Nathen Pomedli. They went undefeated in the round-robin, beating out Armstrong/Baum, Popwich/Nygaard, Noyes/Lloyd and Stremick/Ede. After beating Haupstein and Field in the quarterfinals, they were off to the semifinals, where they fell 6-3 to Kish/Sutherland.
