The Weyburn Comprehensive School Eagles football team will be heading into the postseason on a high note.

They closed out their regular season Tuesday night with a 21-19 win over the Vanier Vikings, in a game described by head coach Darren Abel as a nailbiter.

Rylan Hoffman led the way on offense, with 145 yards on the ground, and two touchdowns. Ryan Verbeem scored the other touchdown for the Eagles.

WCS will not get ready to take on the Swift Current Colts Saturday afternoon in Swift Current in the first round of the Moose Jaw High School Football League playoffs. The game starts at 1:00 p.m.
