The defending Moose Jaw league champions won their first game of the season Saturday in Weyburn. Yorkton Regional defeated the Weyburn Eagles 61-10 in the season opener.

Darren Abel, Coach of the Weyburn Comprehensive Eagles football team, said the Eagles got a touchdown from Chase Fillmore and a field goal from Kyle Barrett.

Next week is a bye week for the Eagles. Their next game is September 18 against Swift Current.
