Mike Eskra has announced where he will be playing hockey next season. The Defenseman served as captain of the Weyburn Red Wings for the past two seasons and graduated out of the program this past season.

Eskra, who is originally from Regina, received offers from a number of schools north and south of the border. Ultimately, he opted to stay close to home, committing to the University of Regina Cougars for the 2018-19 season.

Over four seasons, the fiercely competitive blueliner played 192 games with the Red Wings, recording 122 points in that span.
