Weyburn Comprehensive School had a strong showing at the provincial cross country championships on the weekend. The races were held in Turtleford this year.
The conditions for the 500 runners from across Saskatchewan were cold and windy, and the course featured a hill called Heart Attack Hill, but it didn't deter the runners from Weyburn.
The school won the 3A classification, and Kaitlyn Harrison won gold in the senior girls race, finishing first out of 104 runners.
