The Southern Range Gold Wings are still looking for their first win of the season, after falling 11-0 at home Wednesday night to the Regina Rebels. The loss was the 24th in a row for the team.

The Rebels opened the scoring just past the halfway mark of the first period, when Lauren Focht notched what would be the first of three goals for her on the night. From there the Rebels never looked back.

The scoring for the Rebels a number of lines, in particular the line of Kennedy Bobyck, Emilia McDougall and Ally Kosteniuk. The three were responsible for five of the goals scored, with Bobyck finishing the night with three points, and Kosteniuk four points.

In goal for the Rebels was Chantal Burke. The third year netminder, who spent last season with the Gold Wings, made eighteen stops for the shutout. Burke has recently committed to play NCAA hockey at Penn State University.

The next action for the Gold Wings will be on Saturday, when they host the Swift Current Wildcats for the first of two games on the weekend. The regular season wraps up for the Gold Wings on February 19th, with a game in Prince Albert against the Northern Bears.
