The Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings played their final regular season home game of the year Wednesday night. They played host to the Melville Prairie Fire, who came away with a 2-1 victory over the home team.

The Gold Wings started the scoring in the first period. With 12:25 left on the clock, Jayden Lindholm potted her sixth of the season. Peyton Mabee assisted on the marker.

The Prairie Fire would even things up early in the second when Kyla Bear scored on Wings starting goalie Daneka Dickson. It would be one of only two blemishes on what was otherwise a stellar night for Dickson, who stopped 31 shots.

The Prairie Fire would take the lead just before the halfway mark of the third when Jaydea Guenter-Belte scored on Dickson.

The Gold Wings will close out their regular season on the weekend when they travel to Prince Albert to play two games against the Bears.
