The Toronto Blue Jays avoided a sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday night. The Jays put up seven runs in the opening inning, and held on for a 10-3 victory.

Aledmys Diaz had a three-run home run in the first inning, and Billy McKinney added a solo home run.

Aaron Sanchez went six innings on the mound, striking out eight, while allowing three earned runs and walking two.

The Jays continue their homestand Thursday night, as Cleveland comes to town to open a four-game set.
