The rookies on the Weyburn Red Wings have been playing standout hockey all season, and they continue to be recognized for their efforts. Most recently, it has been the play of Jordan Kazymyra attracting the attention, as he was named the SJHL’s Rookie of the Month for November.

Kazymyra, who is 18, and originally from Regina, picked up 12 points, including eight goals, in 12 games in November. He has been playing top line minutes, alongside fellow rookie Cade Kowalski and second-year wing Ben Hiltz.

Kazymyra has one stretch at the beginning of the month where he had six points in three games. He followed that up with three goals in three games later in the month.

Through 22 games so far this season, the former Regina Pat Canadian has 11 goals and eight assists.
