The Midget AA John Hulbert Construction Wings picking up a crucial point Tuesday night. They skated to a 3-3- draw with the Regina Vics at Crescent Point Place. With the tie, the Wings remain four points back of the Vics for the fourth spot in the South Division of the SAAHL and are three points up on the Notre Dame Argos.

The Wings jumped out to an early lead when Albert Kim scored his first goal of the season at the 6:34 mark of the period. The goal was unassisted.

Weyburn extended the lead to 2-0 when Rylan Erb found the back of the net with just 53 seconds remaining in the period. His goal was unassisted as well.

The Wings made it 3-0 in the second. Rylan Neiszner beat Regina goaltender Damion Lindskog with 9:10 remaining in the middle frame. His power play goal was assisted by Kim.

From there, the Vics took over.

Jackson Smith broke the shutout bid of Matt Dutchak with 2:33 to go in the second. Scott Sawatzky and Davis Fry then scored in the third to even the game up, and send it to overtime.

Neither team was able to score in the extra frame, with each goaltender turning away four shots.

The Wings will be back in action on February 5th, when they travel to Notre Dame to play the Hounds.
