In a rain-shortened game, the Weyburn Midget AA Beavers fell 7-1 to the Regina Blue Jays Tuesday night. The loss drops the Beavers to a record of 11-6-2 on the season.

The Blue Jays jumped out into the lead in the third inning with two runs and two more in the fourth. They added three more in the fifth inning to take a commanding lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Beavers scored their lone run, before the game was called due to the weather.

Nolan Ling hit an RBI single which brought home Trey Sandiford.

On the mound, Jaxon Robertson had the start for the Beavers. He put in 3 ⅓ innings of work, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out three. Jesse Schill finished the game, allowing three runs on two hits with two strikeouts.

The Beavers were to play a second game Tuesday night against the Parkland Expos. The game was called off due to the weather.
