There was a lot of action on the floor at Tom Zandee Sports Arena Wednesday night, as the pee wee Thrashers, and the midget Thrashers, from Weyburn Minor Box Lacrosse made their debuts in the Queen City Minor Box Lacrosse League.

The early game saw the Pee Wee Thrashers taking on the Regina Outlaws. It was a close game, and low-scoring, compared to your typical lacrosse game. It would be the Outlaws who came out on top, spoiling the home-opener, with a 2-1 win.

The pee wee squad gets a bit of a rest. They are back in action on Wednesday, when they travel to Regina to face the Roughnecks.

The midget Thrashers were on the floor in the late game, hosting Estevan. The game, which became rather chippy at times, saw Estevan dominate the shots on goal, which helped them to an 8-0 win over the home team.

Next action for the midgets is on Monday. They travel to Regina to take on Standing Buffalo.
