The Pee Wee AA Young Fellow Wings were in Swift Current for a tournament on the weekend, and wrapped up the games with a record of 1-2-1, with all but one game being decided by two goals or less.

The weekend opened Friday for the Wings, as they took on Prairie Storm. Weyburn would come up short, falling 8-4. Silas Stein, Conner Kerr, Langston Gold and Carter Gervais all scored for the Wings in the loss, with Kerr, Owen Istace, Noah Kopec and Kegan Ksenych picking up assists.

Weyburn then took on Saskatoon Mission for their second game of the tournament. Weyburn jumped out to an early lead and went into the dressing room after 20 minutes with a 3-1 lead. The Mission rallied back in the second to take a 4-3 lead. It would become a 5-4 lead for Saskatoon before Weyburn scored to tie the game up with just nine seconds left on the clock.

Stein had two goals in the game, with Gold, Istace and Kaden MacLean chipping in as well. Kerr, Ksenych and Gervais had two assists each in the game, with MacLean also getting a helper.

Saturday, the Wings took on the Brandon Wheat Kings, with the winner advancing to the C side final. It was a back and forth game, and the two teams finished regulation deadlocked 5-5. In overtime, Gervais would come out the hero as Weyburn won 6-5.

Aside from the overtime winner from Gervais, Silas Stein had two goals for Weyburn, with singles from Gold, Sam Mallory, Kerr and MacLean. MacLean also had two assists, with other helpers from Ben McCarthy, Gervais, Istace, Cruz Klapak, Vlad Szczecinski and Ksenych.

In the C-side final Sunday, the Wings were up against the Tisdale Ramblers. Weyburn found themselves playing catch-up early, and it would be Tisdale who came out on top, winning 6-4. Gold, Stein, Matt Sexsmith and Kopec were the goal scorers for Weyburn. Assists went to McCarthy, MacLean, Stein, Istace and Gervais.

The next game for the Pee Wee AA Wings will be on Saturday, They will be at home to Swift Current.
