It wasn’t the weekend the Pee Wee AA Young Fellow Wings was hoping for, as they dropped a pair of decisions on Melville on the weekend. The Wings fell 4-3 Saturday as the Millionaires came from behind to pick up the win. Sunday, Melville dominated the play, picking up a 6-1 victory.

In Saturday’s game, Melville jumped out to a two nothing lead in the first period, before the Wings came roaring back in the second. Silas Stein scored his seventh goal of the season on the power play just 1:21 into the middle frame. Conner Kerr and Kaden MacLean assisted on the goal. The Wings would then add another tally to tie the game up with just 40 seconds left in the period. This time, it was Kerr scoring on the power play, with Kegan Ksenych and Morgan LaCoste assisting. The goal would be Kerr’s second of the season.

Weyburn took the lead in the third period when MacLean scored a power-play goal of his own 3:50 into the period. The marker was assisted by Kerr and Owen Istace.

Just past the halfway mark of the period, though, the Millionaires tied the game up and then scored the game-winner with 7:50 left on the clock.

Sunday afternoon, the two teams took to the ice again at the Horizon Credit Union Centre in Melville. This time, it would be all Melville from the halfway mark of the first period on. The Wings lone goal came with just 27 seconds left in the second period when Samuel Mallory scored on the power play. Stein assisted on the goal.

The Pee Wee AA Wings will be back in action on the weekend. They host the Swift Current Pee Wee Broncos at Crescent Point Place Saturday and Sunday.
