The Pee Wee AA Young Fellow Wings were on the road this weekend and split their games against the Swift Current Broncos. With the win and loss, the Young Fellow Wings improved to 4-11-2 in league play this season.

Saturday saw Weyburn pick up a 3-1 victory over the Broncos.

The Wings opened the scoring with eight minutes left in the second period when Brennan Brown scored his first goal in league play this season. The tally was assisted by Kegan Ksenych and Cruz Klapak.

The Broncos would tie things up four minutes later when Carter Tuplin got the puck past J’Anne Colbow. It would be the only goal the Broncos would score against her.

Just eight seconds after Swift Current tied the game up, Weyburn would regain the lead. Samuel Mallory scored what would hold as the game-winner. The goal was unassisted.

In the third period, Kegan Ksenych would score at the 7:55 mark. His insurance marker was assisted by Noah Kopec.

The results would be very different on Sunday, as the Broncos skated to a 7-4 victory over the Wings.

Weyburn would again open the scoring when Silas Stein scored on the power play at the 5:50 mark of the first period. The goal was assisted by Noah Kopec.

The Broncos would reply by scoring three goals in quick succession. Kade Stringer was responsible for two of those goals, and Kye Fahselt the third.

Weyburn would close the gap in the second period when Brown notched his second goal of the weekend. Ksenych and Morgan LaCoste assisted on the even-strength goal at the 4:55 mark.

Weyburn would then tie the game up when Kaden MacLean scored on the power play with 5:44 remaining on the period. His goal was assisted by Stein and Owen Istace.

In the third period, Weyburn took the lead once again. Langston Gold put the puck past the Swift Current netminder at the 8:52 mark of the period. Mallory and Carter Gervais assisted on the goal.

From there, penalty troubles hampered Weyburn, as the Broncos took the lead with two power-play goals from Hudson Darby just 18 seconds apart. Darby completed the hat trick with an empty netter with 1:23 remaining. Swift Current added another empty netter with 27 seconds to go.

The Wings are now off until Friday. They will entertain the Yorkton Terriers in the Tom Zandee Sports Arena.
