The Provincial Curling Club Championships start off in Melfort Friday morning, and Weyburn will be well represented at the tournaments.

On the men’s side, Christopher Mass, along with Jim Hill, Kelley Oberkirsch and Colton Lund will be representing the Weyburn Curling Club.

They start off their day with a game at 10:00 a.m. against the Gaudreau rink from Humboldt. Then, in draw three Friday afternoon, they take on the Coutts rink from Regina Highland. Saturday, they play the Grindheim rink from Saskatoon Sutherland in the morning, then the Hurl Rink from Lakeland in the afternoon. They wrap up the round robin Sunday morning against Team Wenarchuk from Moose Jaw Ford.

Danette Tracey, Jade Bloor, Shelby Sidloski and Calli Benko are representing the Weyburn Curling Club on the women’s side.

They start play Friday morning against Team Montgomery from Moose Jaw Ford. Then, they take on the Ryde rink from Saskatoon Nutana in the late draw Friday.

The continue round-robin play Saturday morning with a match-up against team Frolek out of the Twin Rivers Curling Centre, then against Kerrie De Gooijer from Melfort in the afternoon.

They close out the round-robin play against the Korpan rink from Aberdeen Sunday morning.
