The Weyburn Red Wings continue to bolster the roster ahead of the 2018-19 season.

It was announced late Tuesday the team has picked up forward Burke Johnstone from the Dryden Ice Dogs of the SIJHL. The 98-born hails from Yellow Grass and has also played defence in his time at the Junior A level.

Johnstone spent the 2016-17 season with the Notre Dame Hounds and was moved to Dryden early last year. In 33 games with Dryden, he picked up 16 points in 33 games.

Before moving up to the Junior A level, Johnstone was the captain of the Midget AAA Hounds and won the Saskatchewan championship with the squad in 2015-16.
