The play of the Weyburn Red Wings in recent days has garnered more individual honours. For the third week in a row, Wings have been named SJHL players of the week.

The SJHL’s Goaltender of the Week is Arik Weersink. The 20-year-old from Lethbridge picked up his first shutout of the season against the Battlefords on Saturday. In three games in the past week, he posted a 1.57 GAA, with a save percentage of .957, despite going 1-2 for the weekend. Combined with October’s goaltender of the month, Carter Phair, the Wings are in great shape when it comes to goaltending.

The Rookie of the Week was Jordan Kazymyra. He factored in on all four goals scored by the Red Wings in the two games against Kindersley last Thursday and Friday, including two markers in Thursday’s match-up. He has eight goals and six assists in sixteen games.

The SJHL’s Player of the Week was Arthur Miller, who had six points in four games on the road. The Defenseman of the Week was Humboldt’s Bryce Fiske.
