The Saskatchewan Roughriders making a trade Wednesday, picking up a pair of national players from the Montreal Alouettes.

The Riders acquired offensive lineman Philip Blake and wide receiver Patrick Lavoie. Going back to the Als is national receiver Josh Stanford and a second-round pick in the 2020 CFL draft.

Blake was selected by the Alouettes in the 2011 CFL draft. He has played 57 games in four seasons with the Alouettes. He spent 2012-14 in the NFL after being selected in the NFL draft by Denver.

Lavoie was a second-round pick of Montreal’s in the 2012 CFL draft. He was taken by Ottawa in the 2013 expansion draft but was re-acquired by the Alouettes this past offseason.

In seven seasons in the CFL, Lavoie has made 138 reception for 1264 yards and seven touchdowns.
