The question of who will be behind centre for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2019 got an answer Tuesday.

The Green and White announced they have re-signed quarterback Zach Collaros to a one year contract.

This will be Collaros’ second season with the Riders. He was acquired by the team in a trade in January of 2018.

Last season, the 30-year-old pivot went 234-for-382 and gained 2,999 yards through the air along with nine touchdowns. He also picked up 10 wins in his 14 starts.

Before the announcement of the Collaros signing, the Riders bolstered the defensive side of the ball.

They inked defensive lineman Micah Johnson to a one year deal.

Johnson has spent the past six seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. Last year, he had 28 tackles and 14 sacks. Over the course of his career, he has 165 tackles and 41 sacks.
