The SHSAA Basketball Conference tournaments will be taking place this coming weekend, to determine the qualifiers for the regionals. The southeast will be represented by a number of schools in the various tournaments.

Across the 1A, 2A and 3A tournaments, the top two teams from each conference will advance to the regional tournaments.

Boys

In the 1A southeast playdown, Stoughton will be hosting teams from Cowessess, Montmartre, Whitewood, Fillmore and Rocanville. Some teams from the southeast will also be participating in the Regina playdowns. Coronach, Ogema and Gladmar will be making the trek to Regina, where they will play against Imperial, Chief Paskwa, Nakoda Oyade, Payepot and Regina Laval.

In the 2A conference tournaments, Kipling will be heading to Balcarres, along with Grenfell.

The 3A tournaments will see Moosomin host Indian Head, Carlyle and Oxbow.

Girls

Montmartre will be hosting the Qu’Appelle Valley conference tournament, with teams from Cowessess, Southey, Regina Laval, Fillmore and Rocanville participating. Gladmar will be heading to Central Butte for the South Central Conference tournament. Coronach is also participating, as is Herbert.

In the 2A classification, Redvers is hosting the South East tournament, with teams from Langenburg, Cupar and Harvest City Regina.

Oxbow and Moosomin are the two lone teams from the southeast playing in the 3A tournaments. Oxbow is hosting the South East tournament, which will also include Esterhazy and Indian Head.
