The Weyburn Comprehensive School girls’ soccer team came back from Moose Jaw with a silver medal Thursday after having to wait two extra days for the league final against Swift Current. The game was postponed Tuesday due to the high winds.

The Eagles put on a valiant effort, but cam up just short, falling 3-1 to Swift Current. The win gives Swift Current their ninth consecutive league championship.

The girls now shift their focus to the regionals, which start this weekend. The Eagles are heading up to Yorkton. Tomorrow, they will play the winner of the game this afternoon between Estevan and Yorkton.
