After what many considered a slow start, the Yorkton Terriers have been on a roll in the SJHL, as they have won five straight and now sit atop the Viterra Division. Their 5-4 win Notre Dame Wednesday night was one of three games on the schedule.

The two teams went back and forth in the game, with a pair of Jared's leading the way. Jared Legien had a goal and an assist for the Terriers, while Jared Hamm picked up two goals and an assist for Notre Dame.

The Hounds jumped out to a 4-3 lead before the halfway mark of the third period, before Yorkton rallied back. Benjamin Solomon scored the game-winner with just nine seconds remaining in regulation.

The Terriers are now 7-4-1 on the season and are four points up on Weyburn for first in the division.

In Kindersley, it was a matchup between two of the top teams in the SJHL as the Humboldt Broncos paid a visit to the West Central Events Centre to take on the Klippers. The Klippers were looking to extend their point streak to six games while the Broncos wanted to prevent a slump from starting after a loss on the weekend.

In the end, it would be the Klippers all over Humboldt, winning 6-1 with Cam Shorrock and Tyler Traptow leading the way with a pair of goals each. Cade Benson chipped in a pair of assists as well in a game dominated by special teams. The Klippers scored four power-play goals while adding a shorthanded goal. The lone goal for the Broncos came with the man advantage as well.

The La Ronge Ice Wolves, who had a rough start to the season, have begun to turn things around. They opened a three-game road trip Wednesday with a stop in the Battlefords.

It would be the North Stars coming out on top, shutting out the Ice Wolves 4-0. Mathias Urbanski led the way for the North Stars, scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist. Joel Grzybowski stopped 23 shots for the win.

There are no games scheduled in the SJHL Thursday, before a full schedule starts up on Friday with five games, including the Weyburn Red Wings hosting the Nipawin Hawks.
