In light of the tragedy involving the Humboldt Broncos, the SJHL season is on hold and the future of the Broncos team is uncertain.

SJHL President Bill Chow spoke at a press conference on Saturday, addressing the playoffs and the future in general.

"We will have conversations as to what the Humboldt Broncos want to do. We will then have some discussions with our governors of the league and whatever decision we make, we're going to do what we think is in the best interests of everybody involved," stated Chow.

"There's going to be people who disagree with whatever we decide and there's going to be people who agree with what we decide. So, at the end of the day, we're going to do what we think is right."

The Broncos were on their way to Nipawin Friday evening for game five of the SJHL playoff series when their team bus was struck by a semi, killing 15 and injuring the remaining 14.

The Broncos are holding a vigil at the Elgar Petersen Arena Sunday night at 7 p.m. The time coincides with what would have been puck drop for game six of their series with the Nipawin Hawks. In Weyburn, the Red Wings will be holding a vigil at Crescent Point Place at 7 p.m.
