An up and down weekend for the Bantam AA Crescent Point Energy Wings. They picked up a win but suffered a loss in their two games.

The weekend started Saturday when the Wings played host to the Moose Jaw Bantam Warriors. The game would be all Weyburn from puck drop to the final buzzer, as they skated to a 5-0 victory.

Weyburn got on the board just over five minutes into the period when Cooper Chisholm was set up by Rylan Erb and Ty Boren for his 11th of the campaign. Sawyer Kopec then made it a 2-0 game, as he scored with assists going to Chisholm and Erb.

There was no scoring in the second period, but the Wings would tally three more in the final frame. Erb scored the first of his two of the game less than four minutes into the period. The assist was credited to Matt Morhart. Mason Thackeray then made it 4-0 with a power-play goal, with Boren and Andrew Altwasser assisting. The scoring was round out with Erb’s second of the game assisted by Boren and Chisholm.

Chisholm ended the day with three points, while Erb had four. Dylan Ernst stopped all 21 shots he faced to pick up the shutout.

Sunday, the Wings were in Regina to take on the Pat Blues. There, it would be the Pat Blues to skate to the win. They picked up a 4-1 victory. The lone goal for Weyburn came from Parker Douglas.
