The U18 AA Weyburn Beavers closed out the regular season with a bang Wednesday night.

With a game scheduled in Estevan at 6:30 p.m., the weather held off long enough for the teams to play five innings of baseball, as the Beavers finished off the regular season with a 12-1 victory. The win gave the Beavers a regular season record of 14-1-1.

The Beavers bats came prepared. In all, the team had 12 hits in the victory – four of them for extra bases. McLaren Keslering and Hudson Neuberger each it a double, while Rhett Krafchuk and Trey Sandiford both hit triples.

The runs for the Beavers came from across the team. Keslering, Aiden Krafchuk, Rhett Krafchuk and Trey Sandiford had two RBI each in the win, while Neuberger and Kale Williamson drove in a run each as well.

On the mound, Ben Manning went the distance to earn the win. He pitched five innings, striking out three while allowing just one run on eight hits.
