The basketball teams from Weyburn Comprehensive are hitting the hardcourt this weekend, as they play in tournaments across Saskatchewan.

The intermediate boys are playing in the Hardwood Classic in Regina. The tournament is co-hosted at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate and Campbell Collegiate.

The Eagles opened the tournament Thursday night against the top-ranked LeBoldus Golden Suns. It would be the Suns coming out on top in the game.

The Eagles will resume play this afternoon. They take on Prince Albert Carlton at 5:15 p.m.

The senior girls are also in Regina for a tournament, playing in the 30th Annual Fekula Classic at Balfour Collegiate. They open play Friday afternoon, taking on Bishop Mahoney from Saskatoon. Tip-off is at 2:45 p.m. They continue the round robin tomorrow against Martin Collegiate from Regina.

The intermediate girls are taking the short trek down Highway 39 for a tournament this weekend in Estevan, while the senior boys have the longest trip ahead of them. They are in North Battleford for a tournament this weekend.
