Weyburn will be well represented on the curling rinks at the upcoming Saskatchewan Winter Games in North Battleford. Emily Haupstein and her rink, along with Landon Field and his rink, will represent Team Southeast at the competition, which starts in February.

The regional playdowns to find the representatives for the region were held in Lampman on the weekend.

Team Haupstein won four straight games to win the right to head to the Games. The team is skipped by Emily Haupstein and includes Shayla Moore, Emma Wiens and Abbey Johnson. The team is coached by Danette Tracey and Clare Johnson.

Team Field consists of Landon Field, Hunter Labbie, Keegan Woodard and Greg Wiens. It is coached by Kim Wiens.

The Saskatchewan Winter Games will be held from February 18th to 24th in North Battleford.
