The deadline for early bird registration for the Weyburn Opportunity Road Race is fast approaching.

The Weyburn Opportunity Road Race is set for June 18.

Those who take the early bird pricing save $10, are guaranteed a shirt for the race, and will receive a medal at the end of the race. The deadline for early bird registration is May 6.

"With Provincial funding cut for Saskatchewan urban parkways, Weyburn's Opportunity Road Race has become an important fundraiser for helping maintain and improve the Tatagwa Parkway. An event everyone in the community that enjoys the park, can support. On top of the 5K, 10K & 15K running events, their's the 5K walk for non-runners who'd like to support Tatagwa Parkway. Also the Kids Mini-mile and for dog owners, a Dog Parade has been added this year." Said Glenn Rogers with the Opportunity Road Race.

"We encourage all skill levels, whether you're a casual jogger, right up to a runner, and someone who wants to test themselves. It's really open for everybody, it's about getting out and celebrating our parkways. And we do have walking events too, so if you want to just participate, help support the Tatagwa Parkway, and walk the five kilometers, you can do that,"
