The provincial Pee Wee AA Tier 1 tournament is taking over Jubilee Park this weekend. Eight teams from across the province are in town to participate.

The Weyburn Beavers are playing in a pool that includes the Melville Millionaires, the Estevan Tornadoes, and the Muenster Red Sox. The other pool includes the Unity Cardinals, the Lloydminster Twins, Lumsden Cubs and Humboldt Dodgers.

The Beavers open their tournament Friday afternoon when they take on the Muenster Red Sox. Their other games include playing Estevan Saturday morning, then closing out the round robin in the afternoon against Melville.

The medal round games will be played Sunday afternoon, with tiebreakers, if necessary, played that morning.

The Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League Midget AAA Provincials kick off this weekend in Estevan. The Southeast Twins are the host team for the tournament, which opens Friday afternoon.

The Twins open up against the Saskatoon D-Backs at 2:00 p.m. The round robin continues Saturday, with the Twins playing the Regina White Sox, then following it up with a game against the Regina Expos Saturday evening. The medal rounds will be played on Sunday.

The Twins enter the provincials after a 13-17 regular season record.
