The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club are gearing up for their season. In order to get things going, though, they require wrestlers.

Clark Gawryliuk from the club said they will be holding registrations Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Weyburn Credit Union Community Room. The club has age ranges from children born in 2000, to kids born in 2011. The Freshie and Pee Wee programs (2006-2011) practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the Soo Line Daycare Gym. The Bantam to Juvenile Athletes, born from 2000-2005, practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Gawryliuk said the club has had a number of successes in the past and has quite a few athletes who will more than likely compete at the provincial and national level once again.

The club is also expecting to have a good showing at their annual home tournament. The meet will be held on December 2nd, at Weyburn Comprehensive School, and will feature up to 150 athletes from across the province.
