The Weyburn water tower is undergoing some renovations.

"It'd been a few years since any work was done on the water tower. there was some stuff, like boards and other things, that were coming loose and it started to look like it was in disrepair," said Greg Button, facilities manager for the City of Weyburn.

The historic water tower is one of only four towers still standing in Saskatchewan.

The city has a budget of $90,000 for the renovation project, but Button estimates it will only cost $80,000.
