For those who may want to try going to both, Nickle Lake will be hosting a number of events earlier in the day, and Mainprize Lake will have afternoon and evening festivities.

Nickle Lake will hold a Site Decorating Contest throughout the day.

"If you're out here camping, you can definitely decorate your site with all your best Canada Day decorations," said Sandra Popescu, Park Manager at Nickle Lake. "There is an area where you can leave your site number on our Facebook page. From there, people will drive around and check out the sites and hit 'like', and we'll go around and try to find the best ones. We have some really great prize packages from businesses, and artists and such from Weyburn."

She said the Bike parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. starting at the Beaver's Den. Crafts will also be taking place at the Beaver's Den from 11:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

"One of the crafts, we ask that, to participate, you bring a coloured shirt, preferably a red one, as we'll be making a bleach tie-dye shirt for Canada Day with those," she noted.

Popescu added they will be offering free Mini Golf throughout the day as well.

She said everything is open, except for a few of the activities they can do at the park like hosting movie nights.

Donna Frank at Mainprize Regional Park said the park is excited to be hosting a Golf Cart Parade at 2:00 p.m.

"At dusk, we are having fireworks," said Frank. "Visitors are reminded to social distance as they enjoy the fireworks. Fishing, golfing, and the beach are all here to enjoy. We hope that you can come join us in some of these activities."
