A search warrant on a rural property in the southeast resulted in an arrest relating to crimes throughout the prairies.

"We entered into an investigation back, I guess, probably would have been in December. Through the investigation, we executed a search warrant, that was on January 25th. As a result of that warrant, we recovered lots of property,"  shared Cpl Craig Park, Estevan RCMP.

The property where the search warrant was executed was in the RM of Benson. RCMP arrested and charged 33-year-old Mark Morison with a total of 13 charges, 11 of which were for possession of stolen property under $5,000 and two charges for possession of stolen property over $5,000.

"We were able to link some of this property back to locations in Alberta, various locations throughout Saskatchewan and even into Manitoba."

Park said the arrest brings closure to a lot of property crimes in the prairies.

"He is the only person who has been charged right now but the investigation is ongoing," shared Park.

Morison made his first appearance on these charges on April 12 in Regina Provincial Court.
