Friday's Red Wing game will feature a very fun and helpful event, that will involve the crowd in a unique way.

"Our Teddy Bear toss is coming up and we're just asking everyone to bring a teddy bear or purchase a teddy bear at the game to throw onto the ice once the Red Wings score their first goal," says Jennifer Lorinczy, Community Ministries Coordinator for the Weyburn Salvation Army.

The event gets everyone involved in the Red Wing's game while also helping the Salvation Army. Teddy bears can be brought from home or be purchased at the rink by donation.

"The Teddy Bear Toss raises a little bit of funding for our Christmas programs and it also ensures that at Christmas time everybody can have a teddy bear to cuddle," says Lorinczy.

The Salvation Army's Christmas programs are so important to the community, this is a nice way to help them as well as provide them with teddy's to pass out to children in need.
