It will be a busy night Monday for Weyburn City Council.

They will be again looking at the discretionary use application for a care home to be built in the Creeks, after their original denial of the home sparked outcry across the community, and the province.

The revisiting of the application includes letters from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation and the developer of the Creeks, Terra Developments, in support of the care home.

Council will also be looking at a number of requests for proposal for infrastructure projects in the city. These include the entrance to River Park, pedestrian ramps at intersections, and various improvements around the city.

There will be a delegation at the meeting from the organizers of the Opportunity Road Race, as well as a motion put forward for the city to approach the Provincial Mediation Board to start the process to obtain Consent of Title for two properties in the city with substantial tax arrears.

The meeting starts tonight at 5:00 p.m. in council chambers.

We will have full coverage starting tomorrow morning, on air and online.
