Water meters in Weyburn are being replaced and upgraded. The company doing the work, Corix, have made a very special announcement.

"We were in contact with Corix this week again in regards to our water meter replacement initiative and Corix has generously decided to give back to the community of Weyburn," says Amber Wiggins, Public Relations Coordinator.

Around 1000 meters have been replaced in Weyburn since the program has started. The new meters will be more accurate and help homeowners to better monitor their water use.

"We were really excited to hear that they wanted to do that by giving $2.00 of every water meter that is replaced during the month of December, back to the City of Weyburn Salvation Army Foodbank," says Wiggins.

Citizens of Weyburn are adviced that the call centre to book the meter replacement will be closed from December 22nd until January 2nd.
