The final meeting of 2017 for Weyburn City Council will be held Monday evening. Starting at 5:00 p.m., it will be a busy agenda.

There will be four bylaws before the council, with the likelihood of three of them receiving three readings and being passed. Those are a new bylaw concerning snowmobiles within the city, amendments to the refuse bylaw to begin to implement recommendations from Sperling Hansen, and the development levy bylaw.

The fourth bylaw is concerning the council procedures. It is scheduled to receive its first reading.

Council will also hear the regular reports to council, as well as vote on a few tenders. Those include a tender for the chemicals needed at the water treatment plant, and the fuel and fluid tender for 2018.

There will also be a request made to the council by the Weyburn Golf Club.

We will have full coverage of the meeting, on air and online, tomorrow morning.
