Weyburn City Council will be getting together Tuesday night at City Hall for their first regular meeting of the month. The meeting was bumped from Monday to observe Remembrance Day.

The meeting will start off with a delegation from the Southeast Regional Library. From there, the water treatment plant will present their regular monthly report to the City Council. The report expected to indicate everything is working well at the plant, with water levels at Nickle Lake where they would normally be for this time of year.

Councillors will also discuss when the meeting dates for December will be. The fourth Monday of December is Christmas Eve. In the past when this has happened, the meeting date has been moved up by a week.

Proposed changes to the Property Maintenance and Nuisance Abatement Bylaw will also be discussed by council. The changes coming about after a review of the process for enforcing the bylaw was undertaken by the Weyburn Police Service. The changes will allow a summary offence ticket to be issued, as opposed to a long form summons, which is expected to speed up the process and make it more efficient.

Discover Weyburn will have full coverage of the meeting, on-air and online, Wednesday morning.
