Remove and replace.

That is the latest update from the City of Weyburn about structural damage at Crescent Point Place last month.

Three wood joists supporting the ceiling cracked causing an area of the lobby to be sectioned off until the hockey season ends. Once the snow melts is when work can begin.

At that time, the joists will be removed and replaced with ones that will hold adequate weight. Structural reinforcement will be done along the entire length of the lobby.

Until work can be begin, facility staff will continue to monitor the crack to ensure it doesn't grow.
