More drugs have been taken off the streets in southeast Saskatchewan.

Two Estevan residents were arrested and are facing multiple drug related charges after law enforcement executed search warrant was executed in Estevan on Friday, May 19. Members of the Estevan Drug/Intelligence Unit and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit were in charge of the investigation at an apartment in the North East end of the city. A woman, later identified as Jessica Lee Smith of Estevan, was arrested at the residence. A man, later identified as Mark Groisman of Estevan, was arrested outside the home and is also facing charges.

The arrests were made following a two-day investigation. Quantities of cocaine, psilocybin, over $1,600 cash and one vehicle were seized along with other items used for the sale and distribution of cocaine.

Groisman is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of psilocybin under the controlled drugs and substances act. Smith is also charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The pair were released on several conditions. Their next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, July 10th.
